If you’ve been searching for an electric dirt bike that looks like a dirt bike, rides like a dirt bike, but still stays 100% street-legal across the U.S., the OUXI GT-2000 may have already popped up on your radar. On paper, it sounds like a powerhouse: a 3000W peak motor, 30Ah UL-certified removable battery, and a claimed 37 mph top speed.
But marketing numbers never tell the whole story—so I took OUXI GT2000out for a full, honest, real-world shakedown to see what this budget electric dirt bike can actually do.
Below OUXI GT 2000 review is based entirely on hands-on testing: hill climbs, braking, gravel, top speed, handling, and everyday ride quality. No fluff, no hype—just the facts you need before buying.
OUXI GT2000 Dirtbike Quick Verdict
OUXI GT-2000 electric dirt bike is one of the torquiest 48V ebikes I’ve ever ridden. It sits in that sweet spot between “surprisingly capable off-road” and “street-legal e-bike with pedals.” For GT-2000 ebike price ($1,399), it punches far above expectations—especially in torque, hill climbing, and comfort.
If you want a dirt-bike-style ebike that can legally hit the roads but absolutely shred gravel and grass, this thing is a sleeper hit.
Visually, the GT-2000 looks like a full size dirt bike—but with pedals to stay within e-bike regulations. It sits tall, rolling on 19-inch moto wheels wrapped in aggressive knobby tires. Motorcycle-grade spokes and a proper through-axle ensure the front wheel is solidly locked in.
OUXI GT2000 frame feels tough, the swingarm is beefy, and despite budget components in some places, the overall build is shockingly robust for the price.
The one thing I didn’t love? The stock handlebars and grips. OUXI GT-2000 handlebar is flat and narrow—odd choices for an off-road-focused bike—and the grips feel stiff and slippery. Those would be my first upgrades.
Performance Testing
Comfort & Fit
At 5’10”, this electric fatbike fits me well. The suspension is surprisingly plush:
Front fork has real adjustment (compression → lockout)
Rear shock isn’t adjustable, but still smooth
Combined with the big tires, the ride is cushion-level comfortable
The GT 2000 ebike seat is textured, water-resistant, and comfy for solo riding.
Here’s where the OUXI GT-2000 dirtbike shocked me—in the best way.
GT2000 eDirt Bike Hill Climb Test
OUXI claims the bike can handle 40% grade hills. While I didn’t have anything that extreme, my usual 15–20% test hill is brutal for most 48V bikes.
Result? ✔ Held 19 mph uphill the entire way ✔ Never bogged down ✔ Massive torque for a 48V system
OUXI GT2000 is one of the strongest hill climbers I’ve tested in 48V ebike class.
OUXI GT 2000 Acceleration Test
OUXI GT-2000 with throttle-only, pedal assist 5:
Snappy takeoff
Plenty of torque
Hits 20 mph fast
Feels stronger than typical 2000W bikes
For street riding and off-road bursts, the torque curve is super satisfying.
OUXI GT2000 Top Speed Test
e-dirt-bike.com promises 37 mph, but that’s likely wheel-spin speed with no load.
Real-world top speed (195 lb rider): 👉 32 mph (GPS-verified)
Lighter riders may see 33–34 mph. Heavier riders will see about 30 mph.
OUXI GT2000 edirt-bike is still excellent for a 48V fatbike with legal street features.
OUXI GT2000 Gravel & Grass Test
The GT-2000 electric dirt bike was born for this.
✔ Floats over grass ✔ Grips insanely well on gravel ✔ Plush suspension smooths out bumps ✔ Tires hook into dirt with no problem
The drivetrain adds some noise, but off-road performance is undeniably fun.
GT-2000 Dirtbike Braking Test
OUXI GT2000 e-dirt bike brakes are decent but not exceptional:
Dual-piston hydraulics
180mm rotors
GT-200 stop the bike safely, but with this weight and power, I would have preferred 4-piston calipers and 203mm rotors.
Still, for the price, they’re acceptable—and upgradeable later.
OUXI GT 2000 Battery, Display & Controls
The 48V 30Ah UL-certified battery is a huge plus, especially for safety-conscious buyers. GT-2000 dirtbike battery is easy to slide in/out, locks securely, and powers the bike through long rides.
✔ A dirt-bike-style e-bike that’s still street-legal ✔ Big torque and fast acceleration ✔ Off-road capability on a budget ✔ Something that looks badass without costing Sur-Ron money ✔ UL-certified battery safety at an affordable price
Not ideal if you want:
✘ A lightweight city commuter ✘ Quiet, stealthy street performance ✘ A bike you plan to pedal frequently
Should You Buy the OUXI GT-2000?
After a full day of testing, I can confidently say:
👉 The OUXI GT-2000 is one of the best budget electric dirt bikes you can legally ride anywhere.
GT-2000 electric dirt bike is surprisingly fast, impressively torquey, comfortable, and capable on real trails. Yes, some components are budget-tier—but for $1,399, the performance-to-value ratio is outstanding.
If you’re coming from entry-level electric dirt bike and want something that feels way more dirt-bike-like under $1500, the OUXI GT-2000 is absolutely worth your attention.
