The Q20 Pro is capable of 35-38 MPH, which exceeds the federal limit for Class 3 e-bikes (28 MPH).
On Public Roads: You should limit the speed to comply with local laws (usually 20-28 MPH depending on your state).
Off-Road: The full 38 MPH potential is intended for private property and off-road trails. Please check your local regulations regarding e-bike classifications.
Safety is our priority. The Ridstar Q20 Pro battery system is UL2271 and UL2849 certified. It includes an intelligent BMS (Battery Management System) that protects against overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, and overheating, ensuring stable and long-lasting performance.
Make sure your Ridstar Q20 Pro PSI stick close to 20 PSI for safety and performance. Ridstar Q20 fat tires (20×4): 15–20 PSI typical, some as low as 8–12 PSI for off-road or sand.
We offer a 1-Year Warranty covering the motor, battery, controller, and charger against manufacturing defects. Frames often have extended coverage. Please keep your original packaging for at least 30 days in case of return/exchange.
The Q20 Pro is capable of speeds exceeding 28 MPH. In many US states, e-bikes are classified into three classes.

If you own a Ridstar Q20 Pro and want more than 37 mph, you are not alone. Some riders modded ridstar to 50 or 60mph.
What about just changing controller settings?
No. Multiple users confirm that messing with display settings does not remove the hard limit. The stock controller and motor are paired together with a non-standard connector.
So how do you actually make it go faster (45+ mph)?
According to multiple users who have done this successfully:
✅ Upgrade to 60V or 72V battery — This is the single most important change. ✅ Replace the controller — Must match the new battery voltage (e.g., 30A+ controller). ✅ Upgrade the motor — Stock motor has proprietary connectors. Most riders recommend swapping all three together: battery + controller + motor. ✅ Swap to road tires — Stock tires are for trails. Road tires like Vee Speedsters reduce rolling resistance and can add a few mph.
⚠️ Important warnings from real builders:
Torque arms are critical — one rider pried his torque arms open at 800 phase amps.
Stock wiring may need upgrading for higher amps.
This is not plug-and-play. You will need basic electrical knowledge or a friend who has it.

I bought it with even less information/reviews haha but I'm glad I decided on this one. I really enjoy almost everything about the bike and customer support is pretty good for being relatively fresh on the market. It's definitely Chinese sourced but took only 3 days to get here. The build quality is decent and they seem to put a good chunk of care into cable management. It's probably best for 5'5"+ but is still manageable for 5'2" (they will definitely tip toe)
